Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Re-connect to mysqueezebox.com

2010-01-17 Thread bewinter

I'm sorry to bring up that topic again. But I seem to have the opposite
problem. For the last months I've been fiddling with the Squeezebox
Radio, in an endless effort to get the darn thing working reliably.

(Especially the alarm functionality has been terribly flawed (yet
released and sold... but that's another topic) and is currently under
heavy bugfixing/development with great test/dev support and help by
Radio owners.)

Anyway, back to the problem: For all those software and patch tests and
experiments with the alarm, I had to deal with both mysqueezebox and
local SB servers (to install beta and in-development software).

But so far, I think I haven't found an option to switch to a local SB
server in my home network which I'm only turning on for software tests.
I think I have managed to switch to the local server only by some
combinations of resetting or even factory resetting and reconnection to
my wireless LAN... but I cannot remember the exact sequence. After all,
I'm sure there must be some hidden option or a more convenient way to
switch from mysqueezebox connection to a local server connection.

Any ideas?

[SlimDevices: Radio] Re-connect to mysqueezebox.com

2009-12-26 Thread utowana

Have a new SB Radio. I'm an experienced squeezeboxer, with 2 classics
and a boom in the house. Upon set up of the Radio, I connect
effortlessly to my wireless network, and registered the Radio to my
mysqueezebox.com account, and from there I played from my radioio.com
account within 2 minutes, amazing all those watching. I then connected
to my local music library running off of squeezebox server. That went
perfectly. Here is the dilemma...I see no way to re-connect to
mysqeezebox.com. Going to internet radio just connects me to the
standard offerings I've set up locally. I've done a factory reset, and
upon boot up (and reconnection to my wireless network) I'm re-connected
to mysqueezebox.com. All is good. I connect back to my local server,
and I'm caught in the same holehow do I get back to the
mysqueezebox.com service.

The radio is for my wife, so I need bullet proof instructions!

BTWnice design on the Radiofeel substantial and nicely
designed. Can anyone help with this problem? Seems to me it should be
a button push away, or a couple of pushes and twirls of the control
knob.

Try goint to 'Settings', then 'Advanced', then 'Networking' and you
should see an option to go back to mysb.com. Under 'Settings' also look
at 'Home Menu' which will allow the relevant option to be added to the
top level menu to make the process a little quicker.

Outstanding Adam F. Both of your tips worked like a charm. The
documentation was inadequate, but not the forum community. Thanks for
your assist!
