[rails-oceania] Software Developer [JOB]

2010-05-25 Thread Adam
A Green fields Ruby On Rails project sponsored by Aconex requires a
mid-level developer for a permanent position based in the Melbourne
CBD. The position is on-site.

We need a developer with a focus on quality and experience in Agile
development and XP practices. They should be comfortable with pair
programming and be completely uncomfortable with writing code without
a test.

Please send C.V.s to Nicolas Strybosch - nstrybosch at aconex dot com
or phone 0424 836 623 for a chat and more details

[rails-oceania] [JOB] ongoing casual work

2010-05-25 Thread Tim
After the awesome response to my last job post (http://
groups.google.com/group/rails-oceania/browse_thread/thread/
a0a6acd787096a7d), I thought it'd be a good idea to outsource more of
my Rails work.

I'm looking to keep a few people on file for casual work on discreet
tasks. This could be swatting bugs or upgrading components to our
existing systems. There's likely to be quite a bit of work over the
next six or so months, but then it'll probably die off a bit. My boss
keeps coming up with new ideas for what he wants our custom-built
project management system to do.

I also have one particular component that will probably require a 5th
Dan Grand Master in JS.

If you're interested, please send me your contact details, hourly
rate, and your github account or a link or two to previous work.

I should also be up-front and say that my recent outsourcing
experience has taught me that the bureaucracy runs deep in our
university. You may have to sign a contract and fill in a form or
two. But to your advantage, as we're a university our cheques won't
bounce. ;-)

This is us: http://isf.uts.edu.au/

Thanks!
