Re: [rancid] Aruba 2930M

2019-12-20 Thread James Zuelow
Here, we use h3clogin for HP/Aruba Comware 5 or 7 switches. Our Comware 5
switches are the little Network Jack 5000 series, and Comware 7 are flexible
fabric switches we use for iSCSI (5700 and 5300 series).

No issues with authentication, there are occasionally some setup errors when
Rancid initially connects but they’re not fatal. We always get a configuration
stored though.

h3clogin -c"display current-configuration" AA.BB.CC.DD

Hi Guisepp,

For me, the problem I still have with tis Aruba/HP switches that run comware 5
I think, it is the authentication.
The enable mode ask for username+password again, and it seems that the scripts
are not designed for that

If someone found the solution, I take it!

^^ do you have a $PATH environment variable problem? It seems hrancid can’t
execute hlogin. From memory, this can be set in rancid.conf.

Cool for you!

Can you tell me how you configured the authentication on the switch?
Does the rancid user get particular privilege mode?
In you .cloginrc file, is it autoenable?
