Thursday, December 23, 2021 Tip of the Day: Using Custom Fonts with the OUTPUT PDF Command Product...: R:BASE X.5 and R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5) Build.: 10.5.4.11222 or higher Sections..: Commands Keywords..: OUTPUT, PDF, PROPERTY, Default Printer Font Did you know that a new application property was implemented to allow custom fonts with the OUTPUT PDF command? The OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_FONT parameter for the PROPERTY command specifies that the "Default Printer Font" settings will be recognized with the OUTPUT FileSpec PDF command. PROPERTY APPLICATION OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_FONT ON|OFF By default the OUTPUT FileSpec PDF command uses Courier as the font. When OUTPUT_PDF_USE_PRINTER_FONT is ON, the Default Printer Font will be used in the output. The default is OFF. To alter the Default Printer Font setting, select "Settings" > "Default Printer Font" from the main menu bar. In addition to the font type, the following PROPERTY command parameter specifies whether to use the default printer's paper size with the OUTPUT PDF command. Jim: You use these 2 options in the gateway export command: SHEET_NAME Detail | SHEET_INDEX 0 The sheet index changed at some point from starting at 1 to starting at 0. I think it's 0 right now. I haven't tested it recently but at one point it saved it with the last tab being the one in focus; I wished I could've changed that behavior.
