There is the D2R2 in New England. http://www.franklinlandtrust.org/randonee.htm Also, as mentioned, Transiowa. Last year Rapha did their "Gentlemen's Race" which took in some dirt roads. I'm sure there'll be more events like this in the future. But there still isn't a pro dirt road road race. I'm sure it's only a matter of time. --mike --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. I was just discussing earlier on flickr how there is no comparable event here in the States. The closest we have is the Lake Pepin 3 speed tour. Would be great to have some events like this, but the folks that would support it/participate are too spread out geographically for one thing. That and a lack of bike culture/appreciation of racing prior to any event not won by someone named Lance. On Fri, Mar 6, 2009 at 6:49 PM, Doug Peterson wrote: > > Great links, Jim. [RBW] Re: What has it gots in its pocketsssssss?
I ordered an almost identical bag from Weltrad in Germany (www.weltrad.de ) for about 40 Euros, including shipping. I had a German friend here help me with the ordering (site in German only) and payment part (using bank transfer, I don't think they accept credit cards), but the bag has held up well for several years now, looks good, and, made primarily of vinyl, is less than half the cost of the fancier billykirk leather model. Weltrad also has a nice selection of lights and other accessories for those of us who can't leave well enough alone. [RBW] Tires: good 650A (37-590 / 26 x 1-3/8) tires with tan/gum/white sidewalls?
First post. Hi all. - Schwalbe Delta Cruiser. Schwalbe's "least" flat resistance and tread looks meh. - Panaracer Col De La Vie. LBS suggests may be more likely to flat than Marathons. I hate flats. - Michelin World Tour. Have only see web pics. Available with a tan sidewall. - Others? So my default choice is a set (recommended by my LBS) of Schwalbe Marathons (Marathon HS 368). Not too heavy. KevlarGuard flat- resistant tech. Designed for 50-85 PSI. Perfectly functional. Just can't get excited about the black walls and reflective stripe, that's all. BTW, it's for a Saluki. My riding is long and far, mostly pavement, but loose surfaces when they present themselves... Thanks for any thoughts. -Darren. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
