[RBW] Re: Show me your derailleur stash

I'm not good on ebay. Have you seen a B68S in honey? If so, I'd like
one. I thought I was the only one with parts in the closet but I only have
a XT Rapid Rise derailleur but the original one is still fine 63,000 miles
and still trucking.

2022-02-24 Thread Pam Bikes
How many miles will I get out of a rim? I got about 12,000 from the last
one which is about 2 yrs. So I have about 8,000 already on the last one.
This is a good price and I could rotate out the hubs when they wear out.
How much would shipping be? I'm not in a hurry. Thanks.

2022-02-24 Thread Ezra Ewen
Hi Brady :)

I just measured the top-tube from center of seat-tube to the center of
head-tube and it measured about 54.7cm

And I believe since it has a slightly upward sloping top tube, the 56.5cm
measurement is the "effective" top tube length, as mentioned above and in
the geometry link. Thanks for that Damien.

[RBW] Re: ISO: 700C rear wheel for 135 spacing

2022-02-24 Thread lconley
It is highly unlikely that your 27' Mixte frame is 135 spacing. Are you
planning to have the frame re-spaced? Mixtes (6 stays) are not as easy to
just spread by hand and jam it in as a 4 stay bike. I know because I just
put a modern wheel on an old Ross Carrera 27" Mixte (chrome-moly frame). If
you are getting another wheel, a 130 would probably be easier to deal with
and still available for 8/9 speed.
