Here's my Chev, typically commuting from Arlington into Metro Center during
the week, along the W and all around on Sundays. I've seen a friend on
a nice little Betty Foy in the past month or so, but I don't seem to run
into too many of you folks (but I'm always looking)...

Oh and I ran Schwalbe Road Cruisers which (I think we're x44) and my
recollection was that they had to be taken down a bit for removal, but
clearance was way fine when riding. This is a sketchier recollection, I
should add.

Hi Justin,

I ran Paul Racer's on my Chev (thanks, Jon Dukeman of CO!) for awhile
before I picked up some R559s. Riv sells a little clamp-on cable stop (tho
i don't see it on the site now) that can be mounted down near the pump peg
(if I recall correctly) to accept the housing to work with Racers. I'm
only a hack-plus wrench and I was able to do it, so I imagine the more
gifted among us would have no probs.

Good luck,

I stop at stop signs now, at least sufficiently to avoid another situation

[RBW] Sackville BaggaBond question

2020-09-01 Thread 'Je Mar' via RBW Owners Bunch
As it's the largest Sackville bag, it's the one I have my eye on. From the
site: " A big & tall saddlebag for tall riders with a 13-inch or bigger gap
between the saddlebag loops and the tire or fender or rack, whatever sticks
up highest."

I have maybe 9.5" of gap between Brooks flyer loops and a rack on a 60cm
Cheviot - will the BaggaBond not work for me?

To be honest, I don't carry much, even in winter - just my laptop, outer
shell, and lunch (and a lock). Would I be overdoing it with the BaggaBond?

thx
