[RBW] Re: Joe Appaloosa, MIT Atlantis versus Jones SWB

2018-07-17 Thread Belopsky
Jones was awesome on trails, I had the LWB one. It wasn't as whippy as my now
Santa Cruz. I bet a SWB would be fun.

I had a Clem. Stable. Boring. Got me to work just fine.

Atlantis was decent, stiff and overbuilt for my use and weight. I do miss it.
It fit well.

[RBW] FS: derailleurs, a pair of MKS pedals, alfine tensioner and some brakes

2018-06-12 Thread Belopsky

Most every derailleur you see is $20 except for the Suntour Cyclone bits
which are $35 for the FD and $45 for the rear.

The Microshift front derailleurs are $10 each.

The Shimano silver derailleurs are FD-R440 but work great for friction. One
of these is missing a Tiagra logo as I took some fine steel wool to it.
This one is $15.

Most of the front derailleurs are 28.6 except for the MicroShift which are
bigger and require a shim which I do not have.
Most are in great shape, some were just put on to run a chain through,
never ridden.

TIME Xpresso2 Pedals are $35. Ridden once. No cleats.

Brooks B67 is $80 shipped.

Shimano Deore V-brakes are $25 shipped.

The other Shimano brakes are $40 shipped.

Alfine tensioner $20

Add $5 for shipping for anything else.

Roadeo won't be what it is with tires like this you'd have to change geometry
which would mean it's a completely different bike

I wouldn't bother with side pulls and tires this big, but that's just me.
I do want to see what bikes will run these. I could see converting a 29er
to run these as a 'go-fast-er' bike
