Greetings rbw team, I have a few things to sell that aren't being used much
and deserve better. I'm located in Pasadena if anyone wants a local
exchange or add some shipping costs to the sale price. Because I may be out
of touch these days, I'm open to offers if the listed prices are not on
target:

Tubus Cargo Rack. Cut the two curvy hook things to better accommodate
saddle bags. $75.

Sackville Saddlesack Medium, with the awesome grey ripstop fabric. Recently
replaced the leather straps that attach to saddle loops and seatpost.
Winnie the pooh pikachu not included. $150.

Pass & Stow 5-rail rack, early version before they made it
modular/take-apart-able. Solid as a rock. Mounts at fork crown, forgot to
picture the attachment piece but can email pics. $125.

Black MKS Lambda/ Grip King pedals, NIB. $35.

Nitto Albatross 55cm, 25.4mm clamp, heat-treated aluminum. Has some
leftover cork from previous grips. $50.

Baggins handlebar bag. $40.

Not yet listed because I'm not really sure how to go about it, but likely

might be interested. Practically new, <50mi.

[RBW] Re: Thoughts/considerations for Clem as daily do-it-all bike?

2017-10-26 Thread Brencho
good thread timing! i just ordered a 52 Clem L recently and just have to
ship some parts over to riv and wait for the build to happen. i'm 5'9ish
and 85 pbh, and my wife is 5'5 and uh like 78 or 79 pbh. the plan is to use
it as a kid hauler / utility bike that we can both use, with a quick
release thingy to adjust the seat post as needed. it'll also make an
awesome bike for guests since lots of people will be able to ride it. set
up with a b67 sprunged saddle, bosco bars, huge wald basket on front, and
rack on back with a kid seat. sticking with stock kenda tires for now but
will look forward to putting some ne plus ultra fatties on there sometime
soon.

Hey folks,

Trying to make space in my closet! All items are in great shape. I'd prefer

-700c front wheel, used less than a year, built by Rich Lesnik: Velocity
Synergy rim, Shimano LX hub, 32 spoke: $150

-MKS touring pedals, with tan colored powergrips: $30

I'd also include the above for trade, interested in albatross or albastache
bars and levers.

be well,

under 1 year ago: $150

MKS Touring pedal with tan colored power grips: $40

Kelly Kettle Scout. Brand new in box with pot stand: $70

I'll ship the pedals and kettle for a few extra buck, but the wheel I'd
rather stick to a bay area local exchange to avoid shipping.

That's an excellent point! I'm taking the suggestion to heart and riding a
lot. If anyone is ever interested in helping get it dirty by going for a
ride somewhere in the bay area, let me know!

[RBW] New Riv Weekend!

2013-03-31 Thread Brencho
Hi folks,

For a long time now, I've been reading these pages and also saving up for
my first rivendell. I've learned so much over the years from the riv
readers and from conversations with those fine folks that it hardly felt
like a choice! After a worthwhile wait, I picked up my Atlantis on Friday.
It's a 58 cm frame, ready for anything. I recently moved to the bay area
and didn't bring my car, so this bike is ready for my (very pleasant 15
mile) commute, heavy loads of anything (groceries etc), and lots of fun
weekend rides and camping trips to get to know the area (and some longer
west coast rides over the summers). I've been reading/lurking on here for
so long that I felt compelled to share my excitement/enthusiasm and post a
picture of my bike as yet another example of the myriad ways you can set up
a rivendell! Thanks to all the fine folks at rivendell for being so good at
what they do.

[RBW] FS: 2 Acorn bags

2012-12-11 Thread Brencho
Hello!

I'm selling 2 like-new Acorn bags.

1) Acorn roll bag. I've put it on my brooks saddle twice, so it's still
shiny and new. It's the tan color one, with brown leather straps. Here's a
link to the bag on the acorn website. Mine is the same but the color is
actually tan, and not the darker olive/brown shown on the site.
http://www.acornbags.com/rollbag.html

2) Acorn small handlebar bag. Used once, so still looks and feels new. Also
tan color (lighter tan than pictured on the website) with brown straps.
It's a slightly older version than the one pictured on the website. It has
the zippered compartment but not the folder like compartment on the very
front.
http://www.acornbags.com/smhdlbarbag.html

$60 each and prefer a local (bay area) deal to avoid shipping costs. But,
I'll ship it if that's how it goes!

[RBW] Re: stuff for sale!

2012-06-19 Thread Brencho
Here's what I have left:

Carradice Nelson Longflap Saddlebag ($80): Excellent condition,
no tears or rips, replaced the leather straps that attach to the
brooks saddle. Used intermittently for commuting and camping, so the
bag has only very minor signs of wear. Asking $80 + shipping.

Velo Orange Stems ($20 each shipped): 90mm +/- 17 degrees 26 clamp; and
120mm +/- 6 degrees 26 clamp.

Portuguese grips for barend shifters ($15 shipped)
