[RBW] Re: Clem / long CS CROW PIE!

2017-01-02 Thread Bustini
I have a 52 Clem and a 55 Appaloosa. The Clem is super smooth. That thing
glides on pavement! The Appa is not quite as "plush", a bit quicker
steering. Both bikes inspire confidence in corners. They are both great
bikes to ride. Smiles very time!

[RBW] Re: Clem vs Appaloosa ride comparison

2016-11-16 Thread Bustini
I have a 52 Clem and a 55 Joe. The Clem is a smooth,comfortable ride. I am
really enjoying the at one. I've had it about 4 months now.
The Appaloosa has a stiffer feel to it. I have the Chocomouse bars dropped
as low as possible and I find them to be nearly perfect. They're fine for
climbing. I've got this one set up for touring, so it's carrying some rack
weight. It's a beauty

[RBW] Bars for Climbing

2016-09-12 Thread Bustini
I'm close to buying an Appaloosa, to be used for everything including
loaded touring. There will be plenty of climbing to be done, so my question
is this: Does the Choco-Moose bar allow for enough forward and downward
lean to make for a decent (for me) climbing position? And how about a stiff
headwind? Is the position too upright? I really like a rather upright
riding position for most conditions, but I like to crouch when necessary.
Should I consider putting drops on the bike? I know this is all somewhat
subjective, but I could use some sage advice that is based in actual
experience. Thank you all!
