[RBW] FS 50 cm Silver Quickbeam -$1500

2014-03-30 Thread Crazy4Suki
Barely used, about 500 miles or less. Local sale only on SF Bay Area craigslist
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/4400140766.html

This is mine and I'm trying to raise funds for my pooch's upcoming surgery...
But I'd rather find another way to pay for surgery than sell this bike too
cheap cuz I really like it. Can you tell I'm torn about selling? Lol

Re: [RBW] Re: 10 Bikes - could you do it?

2013-07-07 Thread Crazy4Suki
I could do it if I had the space...

Bikes I still have:
1) AHH with boscos for most of my recreational riding and light commuting
(small saddlesack)
2) Betty Foy with albas and racks for commuting
3) Quickbeam for quick errands (carradice bag)
4) Bridgesone RB-1 to ride with my roadie friends
5) centurion Lemans with moustache, a sentimental favorite cuz it's my first
non mountain bike

Bikes I used to have and wouldn't mind having again
6) Catrike Speed recumbent trike which is just fun to ride
7) Cannondale F600 hardtail mountain bike which fit me just right for mountain
biking

Bikes I wouldn't mind having:
8) Brompton folding bike
9) Hunqapillar (grey and kidney bean) cuz I love the head badge and colors
(hubby has one)
10) Roadeo (but then I wouldn't need the RB-1)

Re: [RBW] A bike to grow old with?

2013-02-15 Thread Crazy4Suki
I have a Hilsen and a Betty... I think the Betty will be the one that
grows old with me because 1) the step-through is easier than kicking the
leg over at age 80+... and 2) I will probably shrink as I age, and the
Hilsen may be too big then.

I vote for Foy/Gomez too.

[RBW] Calling All Mixte Rivsters!

2013-01-06 Thread Crazy4Suki
I love my Betty because it's nice to commute with. With the step-thru top tube,
it's easy to load up rear bags or panniers and not worry about having to swing
the leg over. Also easy to maneuver the front of the bike around at street
lights. Can't think of anything I don't like. Btw, congrats on the raffle!

Hi Pam,

I have a 52 Betty and a 77 pbh. I also have a 91 red RB-1 that is 51 cm. I
think that was the smallest one they made then. I think this 57/58 will be too
big for you. If you can find the moolah, I think the 47 cm Toyo AHH on the Riv
clearance will fit you.

Re: [RBW] Re: Albatross OR Bosco

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious if there are any Hilsens out
there with the Boscos on it. I'm getting a Hilsen and am debating on whether to
put Albas or Boscos on it. I have albas on my Betty, noodle on quickbeam, and
moustache on an old Centurion. Betty is my commuter and I'd like the Hilsen
more for my fun longer rides and won't have any racks (just fenders and small
saddlesack). Anybody got any feedback on Boscos on the Hilsen? Or pics?

[RBW] Quickbeam Sugino XD2 on old Centurion?

2010-05-30 Thread Crazy4Suki
Hi, I have an old Centurion Lemans in my garage with downtube
shifters. I can manage most rides with it as is, but I'd like to be
able to do long rides with hills so I started looking at other
options. I ordered the Quickbeam Sugino XD2 for the Centurion as it
has 40/32T which should help me with hills. With its current 49/39
setup, I never use the big chainring.

Does anybody know if I'll also need a new derailler for it? I wanted
to keep the changes (and related costs) to a minimum, so did not order
a derailer.

[RBW] My Custom Painted Betty Foy

After reading a post about the new Riv/Soma frame and hearing folks
talk about one-colored frames... I thought I'd share some pics of my
Cream and Red Betty that were posted up on Ecovelo today.
