I have not received much interest in this bike so I'll try lowering the price again. I have it in my local Craigslist for $1,300. How about $1,200 and split the shipping? Or make me an offer and I'll consider it. I'd rather not have to part it out or worse, go to eBay! [RBW] Re: F.S. 55cm Bleriot frame set
I'm a little late on this but wanted to add my two cents. I have a PBH of around 81 (haven't measured it exactly in a while) and have a 55 cm Bleriot. I have found it to be on the small side for me. Remember, Riv frames are center to TOP unlike many other standard frame measurements of center to center, which I usually take at 55 cm also. Add in that it is 650b size tires and I have the feeling that it is too small for me when I ride it, compared to standard c-c frames with 700c wheels. I need to get the dust off of it and take some pictures so I can post it for sale here. [RBW] Re: Rear VO Constructeur Rack on Bleriot
Steve, thanks for sharing this info and your experience. It is helpful as I decide if I want to put a rear rack on my Bleriot. For the last year I had a Mark's rack up front with a basket, which was handy, but I decided to shake things up so I removed it. Now I just have a Carradice saddlebag on the rear. In thinking about a rear rack, I like your choice of rack due to its simple style and functionality. But it does sound like it was a fair amount of work and manipulation to get it to fit on 650B size. I was curious, did you consider other racks like this one from Soma http://www.somafab.com/archives/product/champs-elysees-rear-rack ? It is hard to tell if mounting to the eyelets (not the hub quick release) would be low enough for a 650B.
