Re: [RBW] Re: daily post ur riv

2021-05-17 Thread Jeffrey S
Jacob, The ride to Steep Ravine was harder than I expected, but totally
doable. I was in full sunlight the whole way there so I got pretty hot. I
had to walk my bike a few times. But it only took 3.5-4 hours to get there.
And I was going pretty slow. The ride back was overcast and easier. But
like others said, there are so many places to ride down there! The other
thing is that it is really hard to get a site or cabin at Steep Ravine, so
I'd look into that if you are interested in staying there.

[RBW] Trade - Velocity Dyad Dynamo Wheelset for Velocity Atlas Dynamo Wheelset

2021-04-01 Thread Jeffrey S
I currently use a Velocity Dyad wheelset with a front dynamo hub and would
like to trade for a Velocity Atlas wheelset with a front dynamo hub. I am
using larger tires than I used to and would like to have wider rims. These
wheels about 5 years old are in great shape. They were just used for part
time commuting and riding around town, and don't have too many miles on
them. I can't figure out how to attach photos, but can text or email them!

I am located in Portland, OR and hoping for a somewhat local trade, no
shipping. I am going to be in San Francisco later this month with my bike
as well. Let me know if you are interested in talking more!

Current wheels:
Front - Silver Velocity Dyad 36 spoke rim, Black Shimano Alfine
dynamo hub
Rear - Silver Velocity Dyad 36 spoke rim, Silver Shimano Deore LX hub

[RBW] FS: Surly Cross Check 54 - upgraded to Hunqapillar so selling! Chris King Headset and SImWorks Stem $500

2021-02-13 Thread Jeffrey S

I was finally able to upgrade to my dream, and first, Rivendell, a
Hunqapillar, so I am selling my Surly Cross Check frameset! $500

54 cm Cross Check - 2015-2016
Chris King 1" threadless headset
SimWorks Dirty Rhonda stem
Shimano Bottom bracket that fit my vintage Sugino AT triple crankset

I also have from it:
Shimano Deore 10 speed deraileur - $20
Shimano 10 speed cassette - $10
Shimano bottom Bracket for a double - $10

I am a sign painter and painted the frame a custom pink with hand lettered
surly lettering. The paint job isn't the toughest, but looks cool! I have
the extra paint I mixed I can give you for touch ups.

I am located in Portland, OR for local pick up but can ship too, which
would be an extra $70 or so. That is what it cost to get my new frame here.

Here is the Craigslist link

for photos.

Thanks!
Jeffrey
