[RBW] Re: Wider Noodles

2021-05-10 Thread Joe Shoemaker Music

Consider me jazzed. I’ve been searching far and wide (literally) for
something noodle-like but with more width. My 48cm’s are fun and all, but I
just put 55cm bars on my other bike and I’m in love. I’m still considering
a Shaka because I like the idea of the flared drops, but wider noodles
sound pretty amazing

Right on, well let me know what you might let the
frame/fork/headset/bb/wheels go for. I understand that’s more inconvenient
than selling the whole bike, but that’s where my interest is. If you’re not
into it, no worries at all. It’s a beautiful build, just not all of what
I’m looking for

[RBW] Re: Crash Inspection Advice

2021-02-02 Thread Joe Shoemaker Music
Oh wow, I ride my Appaloosa on that trail at least 3 times a week. I’ve had
a few close calls with kids and distracted people, but never anything aggro
like that. Sorry to hear! If you need to ride an Appaloosa for a while,
you’re welcome to take mine for a spin. I’ve got a couple other bikes I’m
neglecting these days.

[RBW] WTB - Atlantis w/ shorter wheelbase/chainstay

2021-01-29 Thread Joe Shoemaker Music
Hey all, I’ve got a 54cm Joe Appaloosa that I definitely love, but I’ve
always wanted an older Atlantis (I believe Waterford, MUSA?) with the more
compact wheelbase/chainstay. The long wheelbase is fun, But the heart wants
what it wants.

If anyone has a frameset around a 54cm size for sale, please let me know! I
live in Napa CA. I’d be willing to trade my orange 54cm Joe Appaloosa frame
too if that sounds appealing. Thanks!

Joe

[RBW] Re: A Bit Irked that Riv Changed the Seatpost Size

2020-11-30 Thread Joe Shoemaker Music

I’m with ya. I reeeally want to put the lugged nitto seatpost on my
Appaloosa to match my lugged stem, because in vein and OCD about that stuff
:), but it’s just not in the cards. Oh well

Funny how that .4mm makes such a difference in options.

I live and work right by skyline and take my Joe Appaloosa up there a
bunch! I definitely get funny looks from the normal crowd up there but I’m
always have way more fun. Would love to ride with some other Rivs in Napa!
