Re: [RBW] Re: Rivendell Road Standard - spreading the stays?

2016-11-14 Thread Soon Chung Lim
Patrick, did you spec the frame to be 126mm?
Grant liked to spec at 128 and 132.5 for versatility but a 1999 frame built
for 126mm is very odd.

Matt B.,

I'm pretty sure Rivendell never made a frame with 126mm rear OLD. Grant
would know best, of course.

[RBW] FS: Brooks B17 Champion Special

2014-08-07 Thread Soon Chung Lim
Hi everyone

I've a Brooks B17 Champion Special for sale. Saddle is used.
Please get in touch off list if interested and I can send photos.

$90 shipped, economy shipping.

Honey color leather top, chrome rails. Leather is in very good shape
with some abrasion marks on the nose and the corners along with some
slight darkening due to use. Leather top is still pretty flat and
symmetrical.

The leather is seasoned and a little soft, and probably best for a
rider no heavier than 165lbs. I am 185lbs, and it just doesn't work
for me. I bought it recently off eBay and do not know the complete
history of the saddle. Tension nut has not been turned so there should
be a good number of miles left in it. It has the new rear badge so is
a recent production.

Many thanks,
Soon Chung
