Curious if anyone has a 137 bag they're not using.

Re: [RBW] NMSW

2023-08-18 Thread tellyoutoday
I had this concern before getting some non-machined Atlases a few years
back. Turned out to not matter at all for performance from my perspective,
and once your pads pick up some dust/grit they will rough up the rim
surface a bit anyway.

[RBW] Re: Bike Parts FS

2023-08-16 Thread tellyoutoday
Following up to give Hugh a solid endorsement. Turns out he's local and we
work a few blocks from each other - picked up some cranks from him
yesterday in stellar shape and would not hesitate to transact with him in
the future.

Re: [RBW] Re: Rivendell in The Radavist

2023-08-02 Thread tellyoutoday
I met Spencer years ago when I lived in Nashville and I remember him
showing up at a pretty remote house party on that polyvalent.

I like the aesthetics of the older gen Atlantis, but I have a MIT model and
I think it rides wonderfully. Only downside I see to the chainstay length
is the need for an extra long chain and difficulty turning it around in a
train car 😏

 That's a cool video.

It's a bit "idealized" in that the Atlantis is being ridden with snow
on the ground, but it doesn't have fenders.
That's a setup for someone with a few bikes to choose from -- where
there's snow, there'll be salt, and water, and slush, most days in the
winter. Where I live, I could ride that setup maybe ten days between
Thanksgiving and the end of February.

But it sure looks great -- Rivendell nailed the color on that bike.
It just looks right, it's easily recognized, and even though it's just
a hair off the classic Celeste Bianchi, it's clearly its own thing.

 cheers -mathias
