I'm with you, Eric.  Some of Riv's marketing choices puzzle me, too.  But then 
it's Grant's business, not mine.  If you want to consider a nice wool jersey, 
visit Gravel N Grind's website.  They are one of the new Riv dealers.  I'm not 
sure sure how their jersey presale is going, but they look like they will be

While a cheese board is a nice Xmas present, I'm still holding out for a 
nice sport wool Rivendell jersey.
