[RBW] FS: 5 (FIVE!) bikes or framesets available

2015-07-10 Thread Bill Lindsay
I'm at a very well-rounded ten, and I can justify having all of them, but I
am 100% capacity for what I can physically store (first-world problem).
That said, there are other bikes on the incoming roadmap. First off, I've
volunteered to be the Team Mechanic for the El Cerrito High School Mountain
Bike Racing Team. I'm planning on having that be my main volunteer
activity for the entirety of my two kids' six-years at ECHS. So, I'm going
to buy a regular 29er race-ish mountain bike. Hydraulic disks, etc. To
let that bike in, one bike needs to go. I'm still thinking about getting a
Clem, and there are a couple other things that I might be tempted to do
moving forward. So, I've got FIVE bikes that I could part with. I'd be
happy to sell two and pull back the other three. In no particular order

1. 56cm Orange Bombadil. Bought off the peg from Riv in 2010. Orange
powdercoated 2TT Bombadil. Frame/Fork/Headset + matching powdercoated
200mm Bullmoose bars for $1400. Negotiable complete bike PHOTO

2. 58cm Gunnar Crosshairs singlespeed. I bought this last summer from off
the list. I set it up as a really smart doublespeed. I can change between
two gears with no brake adjustment. Waterford built frameset, spec'd to
match a Riv in fit. Frame/Fork/Wheelset $1000, negotiable complete bike
options. PHOTO

3. 59cm Black Mountain Cycles Road. Bought direct from Black Mountain
Cycles in 2012. Intended to be my budget-Roadeo. My intent was always to
use it as a budget prototype road bike for the next custom road bike I set
up. I'm still focussing in on exactly what that custom will be, but I've
leaned what I need to learn from this fine bike. $500 Frame/Fork/Headset.
 Negotiable complete bike. PHOTO

4. 1987 22" Schwinn Paramountain Clem. $800 complete. If you are dying to
have a CLEM-like bike immediately and are dying to have me buy a real CLEM,
then you'll jump at this. Includes the Mt Campee rack and basket and the
custom Ruthworks framebag. I'll even throw in my custom handmade
corroplast prototype panniers. PHOTO

5. 58cm A. Homer Hilsen. Bought new from Riv in the winter of 2010/11.
Ridden on numerous brevets. Now it's become a platform for several of my
off-the-wall build configuration notions, as evidenced by it's current
setup as a 1x9 with an ultralight $900 wheelset. Frame/fork/headset $1200.
 Complete bike negotiable. PHOTO

This is bad timing on my part because I'll be out of town for a while, but
I will bump this post in August. Let me know if you want to talk.

Hey Bill, If you don't mind my asking, what's your height and PBH?

Thanks,

Bill - I've been out of town, on a fully loaded bike tour on my Sam
Hillborne across Pennsylvania, and returned to find your astounding email.
I'm interested in giving your Homer or Bombadil a new happy home. If either
are still available I'm interesting in making one of them a new resident of
Maryland.

Jeff

Thanks for your interest. The Bomba is spoken for, but we should talk about the
Homer. I will be back in town in two weeks
