Parts BM DLumotec Oval Plus Dyno light, $12 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2213.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2214.JPG BM DLumotec Oval Plus Dyno light + Spanninga Bottle Dynamo (w/ mount), $30 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2215.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2216.JPG On the lights you can see an example of the light pattern at Peter White’s site (about 1/4 of the way down). http://peterwhitecycles.com/headlights.aspi used these with a hub dynamo and the bottle dynamo for sale. The light pattern is very good, and i found it adequate for city riding, i ended up replacing them with something much more expensive (partly for the additional brightness in unlit areas, but mostly for looks). I think they are adequate for city riding/commuting and a great value. Some would say they are ugly, but i would call them not flashy :). Same deal with the bottle dynamo, it worked fine but i replaced it with a Son, mainly for the aesthetics, this bottle dynamo powered my supernova just as well. Dura-Ace non-aero levers. These are great levers, feel really solid. Unfortunately i could not find replacement dura-ace hoods so i used dia-compe ones, which work, but not 100% correct aesthetically. These would work really well on moustache bars, the hoods underneath are cut because these are used. There are also quite a few scratches along the edges of the levers. These are not lookers. $10 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2218.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2219.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2220.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2221.JPG Dia-Compe non-aero levers. These are similiar to the 204 with the quick-release in the lever blade, but the blades themselves are textured. The original gum hoods finally let go, so i’ve replaced them with new dia-compe hoods. These have not been used/mounted since i’ve replaced the hoods. The black bit sticking out of the top are adjusters, i’ve taken one off in one of the pictures. $20 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2224.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2225.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2216.JPG Fork Mounted Cable Stop: To move the cable-stop from the headset down to the fork (helps with chatter), i didn’t have enough clearance with all of my accessories to use it. $5 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2217.JPG Bar End Pods to convert DT shifters to bar end shifters, some scratches/wear around the edges. includes what’s shown in the pictures. $25 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2222.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2223.JPG Bags I recently cleaned out some closets and i’m embarrassed at the number of excessive bags that i’ve accumulated (both bike and other types), so need to clear some space. If you want to look at all the pictures you can start here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/minhi/sets/72157632610369600/ Berthoud GB704 Bag and Rack: $225 This is the smaller of the two Berthoud Saddlebags the GB704, it’s about; 7L and measures 220mm W x 170mm H X 250mm D. Berthoud numbers their bags funny so the GB704 is actually the smaller bag (whereas the GB604 is the bigger one). I originally bought both sizes thinking i’d swap between the two bags and two bikes but i’ve used the larger one only and the second bike i’ve dedicated to a different bag. I’ve used this smaller one a handful of times (sunny, no rain). It’s in the grey berthoud material with leather piping, it’s a very handsome bag i get compliments on mine all the time (even more so then my NS tweed bags :) ) The rack has never been mounted as both bags came with a mount and i only used the one. The rack is quite beefy and makes carrying heavier items a little more manageable as it provides a platform from below to support the load. The rack comes with a shim to fit a 27.2 seat-post, if you have a different size you’ll need to come up with your own shim. This combo normally runs about $400. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2181.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2182.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2183.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2184.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2185.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2186.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2187.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2188.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2189.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2190.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2191.JPG Baggins Boxy Bag: $65, Old style boxy handlebar bag, designed for the F15 handlebar rack. this has the Baggins patch. the bag is faded and well loved, but no holes or tears, there are some grease stains in various locations on the bag. The F15 is not included, so you’ll need to get one of those if you don’t have one. I replaced this with a NS tweed bag, and i can’t believe how i lived so long without a handlebar bag, and the F15+Boxy is a well thought out combo. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2160.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2161.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2162.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2163.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2164.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2165.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2166.JPG Baggins Handlebar Bag: $75, I believe this is the pre-cursor to the hobo bag, it looks a little smaller then a true hobo bag and the pockets on the front are different, this one has 1 big pocket instead of two separate ones on the front, with a single flap. Some light grease stains on the bottom where it got close to the tire. Otherwise in very good condition, the leather is still really dark. You can use this without a rack or decaleur (and i don’t think using a rack would actually help) the bag sways as you pedal--but there are d-rings on the corners in the front where you could secure it with some twine, will work with drop bars the best. You can get this to work with alba and moustache bars but it will require some creative arrangements with twine to the brake levers to secure it. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2167.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2168.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2169.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2170.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2171.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2172.JPG Carradice Saddlebag (with defects): $40, for those that can remember, this is a carradice saddle bag from about 10 years ago that came to Rivendell as a ‘second’, somehow the bags were stitched with the pockets/flaps on the wrong side (look at the picture, it’s hard to explain). You end up with a saddlebag that works perfectly fine, but looks bad because you have an extraneous pocket on one side and an extraneous flap on the other. Someone at Riv attempted to ‘fix’ this bag by snipping off the flap, but stopped halfway. Bottom line, the extra pocket and half-snipped flap look terrible, but the center compartment functions fine. The top-flap also has an extension to fit over-sized items, surprisingly large volumes can be stored. This is missing the toe-strap that goes around the seat-post. The bag has gotten very little usage over the years, it still has the out of the box stiffness of old Carradice bags. The gray spots in the pics is actually dust. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2173.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2174.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2175.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2176.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2177.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2178.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2179.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2180.JPG https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1467189/bike/IMG_2181.JPG * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
