[RBW] How to clean Ortliebs?

2017-03-20 Thread iamkeith
Ok, disclaimer first: i have no experience with ortliebs, so test first. If
not mistaken, the fabric is very similar to dry bags which are similar to raft
material, both of which i DO have a lot of experience with, as a whitewater
boater. The best I've found is 303 brand cleaner and, especially, protectant.
It cleans, shines and adds UV protection without degrading the plastic
coating. Ive also heard that magic erasers are good at removing difficult
marks like those from rubbing on aluminum, but haven't tried. My primary need
is more to renew and fight UV damage.

[RBW] How to clean Ortliebs?

2017-03-20 Thread Michael Morrissey
My Ortliebs are really filthy. The insides are clean, but the outsides are
stained and scratched from many years of city commuting. Does anyone know
a good way to polish them up? I've tried a few different things, but other
than retiring them, what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

- Michael
