Thanks, Ray. I have the original Grabsack, and I agree that the canvas is
the best I've seen. I was tempted to buy a Large, but having to retro-add a
more (wider) comfortable shoulder strap and a belly strap turned me toward
the Timbuktu -- Nordstrom's online had the Med Classic in Olive for $50,
with $8 shipping.
I gather that Timbuktu's wares are not of the original quality, but I think
they are still good -- we'll see in a few days.
In fact, if the Classic is good enough, I may sell my modified Grabsack,
with wider shoulder and new belly straps.
There's a secluded wildlife refuge and visitors' center 1 mile north of my
house, very pleasant, with the wildlife being aquatic birds, and I'd like
to take my Macbook Pro with me. (No point in looking at nature if you can
surf the web, right? Seriously, to do work there.)
