[RBW] My new 53 NIB Bleriot
So I bought this new in box 53 Bleriot frameset. I was thinking of buying the build kit from RBW, but they don't sell just the build kit. You can only buy their build kit with purchase of frameset. Or buy the parts separately, which will cost more. So I got it built up and bought parts thru local bike shoppe. 8-speed drop bar build. I am excited about the new *GB rims* that are supposed to make GB tire mounting a breeze. I am also excited about the 8-speed drivetrain. I am hoping it will make friction shifting a near-auto-shiftless experience. I am also excited about getting the *SunXCD* all silver rear derailer. They are gonna try and get it from Merry Sales. Shoppes choice of FD. They say NOS Campy all silver they have in stock. Everything else is on the bike now. Just needs the derailers and a chain. Just waiting for the LBshoppe to get in the rear derailer. *Pics to come.* I hope this works out. The wife says I should leave it tapeless as the bling of the NITTO bars is so nice. But I like grip. Someone named Peter on this forum posted the tip back in March I think that Peter White Cycles posted on another forum that they had two frame sets -a53 and another size. I forget. The price was cheaper than what they went for new back in the day. I thought about it for a few days and then jumped on the 53.
