Thanks, Bill and Jeff. The Tubus lowrider clamp on mounts are very nice indeed -- I've used them to mount bottle dynamos; but this is a matter of extreme aesthetic nit picking. Presently I'm using the tubular extenders that Robert Tilley pictured, that hold the ends of the struts away from the dropout-area braze ons; really, one is needed only on the left, to clear the caliper, but I put one on the right for symmetry. They look awkward, but they don't look so bad that I'll settle for anything less than that perhaps ideal only clamp-on fender mount that I *thought* had been brought up on list not too long ago. I have in mind a well made device clamps to the fork leg and has a threaded extension for the strut. Perhaps I'm dreaming.
