The ESI RCT tape is very nice. Supposedly you can unwrap after extended use, and rewrap again with no deformation. I have the Brooks cambium on my Rosco, and it seems nice so far. Has anyone tried the RCT wrap from ESI? I put a set of their grips on one of my mountain bikes recently, and I'm really liking them. Curious if the bar tape is as good. In a recent Blahg, Grant plugged Arundel, https://www.arundelbike.com/. They make Gecko tape, which is my favorite padded tape. I should add that Cinelli "cork" tape is about the most comfortable I've used, other than the VO elkhide sew on wrap (which has been OOS for so long I'm thinking it may be discontinued). > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. [RBW] Re: Anyone tried Brooks rubber Cambium bartape?
You won't get "cush" with the Cambium tape. It's hard as a rock and is so stiff it doesn't wrap well (unless they've improved it since a couple of years ago). It's also quite abrasive to the hand. All in all, it was one of the biggest wastes of money I've ever made on cycling gear (and I've made some big ones). I was really disappointed, since I love my Cambium saddles and was hoping to match. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. I like the Planet Bike gel tape. Cushy and no gooey residue when removed. About $15.
