Brian,

I remember your bike some earlier posts -- you had an equally
beautiful brittney spaniel in one of the shots. That bike just gets
more attractive every time that I look at it.

What a beaut! and great timing on the photo shoot since it was
pouring all morning, at least in W. Seattle.

It looks like from your detail shot of the Durace rear Der. that you
are running a larger than normal road cassette with it, or is the
close up making it appear that way?. I am running an 11-28 with my
Ultegra RD and am curious if you are able to go larger than that?

Anyway hope we get some nice Indian summer weather so you can get out
and enjoy that beauty

I was wondering... The pictures make it appear that the spacing
between the twine wrap and the handlebar sleeve is a larger than on
most bikes. Am I seeing this correctly? Was it done for a specific
reason? Would like to know more.
 Thanks, Steve

[RBW] Re: Basketed Hilsen

2009-09-06 Thread Brian Hanson
There's more space there because... I ran out of tape! :) I don't tend to
hold the bars right by the stem, and it was my first wrap in 20 years, so I
left it. It actually works out great, and leaves space for lights and other
novelties.

2009-09-06 Thread Brian Hanson
It's an 11-32 SRAM PG-950. It works, but I don't recommend it as i get a
bit of noise when in that gear. I would stick with 28 tops and will
probably replace this wheel/cassette at some point.
