[RBW] Re: Call for bicycling pics – for Photo Mural
I have about a million nice family-friendly transportation-oriented casual ride photos because we put on a lot of those rides at my job. I'll email you one or two but definitely let me know if you need more diversity, little kids on balance bikes, etc. Lynn -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Hey Andy, I’m happy to submit some photos, too. Just let me know how and wouldn’t mind including a small watermark with my name on it if that’s cool! Sounds like a rad project! [RBW] Re: Call for bicycling pics – for Photo Mural
Hi Andi, I saw your call for bike photos on the RBW list. I can't post there, but I thought you might like this album I've been collecting for a while: https://imgur.com/a/FnXXW I've been collecting what I think are really interesting or cool bike pictures from the 20th century. They extend from the 1900s to the 1990s. I've only been collecting those that have some interest besides being merely old. Some of them have historical interest, like the early MTBers in Marin county, or a group of black cyclists in the very early 1900s. Some of them are just amazing shots, and I think all of them, somehow, exude a love of cycling. If you think some of these are cool, it would be nice if you could post the link to your forum topic. I can't post there, but I would love to share with the group. *you can use this photo i took while hauling library holds on my quickbeam. :) * Sweet! I see that the basket and net can barely contain your intellectual pursuits. Thanks, Jenny! *Oh, Andy, you might regret asking Kids, pets, I’ve got them all! * No regrets here, just the opposite. Thanks for sharing, Leah. Great pics. *Approx. how many photos do you need? Seems you will have to curate them so I'm assuming only a few per person? * Folks can send as many as they want. I won't be able to use all of them but it is nice to have a selection (and to see people's images). So far, I have received some amazing pics and a wide variety. However, I encourage more submissions as we do have a whole wall to cover. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Thanks you very much for the generous offer, Manny. I look forward to browsing and then using some of your pictures to prove to others that cool riding really happens! I took a quick peek just now and saw some fantastic images. I'll let you know... As for contacting Rivendell, I am waiting to see what responses are generated by my post. I'm still in the "semi-passive" phase of curatorship (?). I may reach out to RBW later. Hey Andy! Why don't you ask folks at Rivendell? Would be cool to highlight their photography and bikes. maybe give some folks at your work some insight on rivendell. Otherwise you are more then welcome to use my photos on my flickr. just let me know which ones. *Andy - have you reached out to locals like Manny, Jenny Oh, etc?* Thanks for the suggestions, Justin. Manny has definitely posted tons of pics here. Hopefully, he'll see this post and respond. If not, I could try to reply to one of his posts, but I'll wait for now. As for Jenny and others, I'm not sure of the best way to contact. Please feel free to reply directly to me if you have ideas or would like to help facilitate. I really appreciate the input. *When complete, please post the address so when out-of-towners visit San Francisco we can stop by & check it out.* This artwork would be in the staff bike room and I would be happy to take any visitors back to view the mural. You would also be welcome to commute with me from downtown out to near Ocean Beach where I live. We could even take a long, circuitous, and scenic route. *I assume we should "reply privately" to avoid cluttering up the forum?* Yes, please! --AC -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
