[RBW] Re: Clem for sale

2022-10-18 Thread Mackenzy Albright
I own a first generation 59cm "clementine" and a newest gen 64cm Clem Smith
Jr. I wouldn't say that the geometry of either generation is a "make or
break" factor in my opinion. They are pretty similar all around. Just some
loose observations is the older geometry being a bit less slack HT, which
is great for baskets since it has slightly less wheel flop. The Clem Jr has
slightly more wheelflop on basket only loads, but it climbs and descends
gravel trails incredibly. It absolutely floats and carves giving it a great
feel as a hillibike. The older geometry feels a bit more like a bike with
an appropriately long chainstay for an upright position which is still
great! Clementine (+early gen Jrs) - city and trail. Newer Clem Smith JR -
trail and city. I wouldn't hesitate on either generation given it fits your
PBH which is incredibly flexible on the low TT frames and the price is
right.

Hello. Regarding the Clem, I have two questions. First, being a 2020
model, does this bike share the geometry of the newest Clem’s? Or, is this
the previous version? Second, as pictured what size rider fits this bike?
 Thanks, Richard

2022-10-15 Thread Joe Bernard
I believe this is about the bronzey green 45cm L for sale elsewhere here.
That's not the current generation which has a longer ETT and 650B wheels,
it has 26" wheels and should match the grilver one I had at 57cm effective
toptube.

2022-10-15 Thread Kim Hetzel
Hi Richard,

What specific model of the Clem are your referring to ? The "H" or the "L"
model ?

I do not see a picture. Do you know what size the bicycle is ?

I do not specificly know if the geometry is the same between the 2020
version to the 2021 version. I do own a green 59 cm 2021 Clem Smith Jr.
"L". I am 5'11". I have a long torso and short limbs. It fits me well.
