[RBW] Re: Definishing the Hunq
Oh, yes, of course! Thank you for reminding me I still have an almost full can of butcher's wax around the garage somewhere... this may be my solution for an unfinished steel fork and stem I have that I've considered either rattle canning or leaving raw. It's a low priority project right now but they've remained completely untouched so if/when I get around to a build to use them together I may just wax and buff 'em. [RBW] Re: Definishing the Hunq
I'm in agreement with everybody that the raw finish looks most excellent, but man do I love that old grey-and-kidney-bean paint. I'd snap up a 48 or 51cm Hunqapillar in that color in a hot second if I could find one. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Looks amazing. Out of curiosity, why not use a butcher's wax? It's what we use for million dollar outdoor sculptures, fountains, various metal things taking a beating, and it doesn't flake or crack. The close up photos are nice but a photo of the whole bike would be good, too. That looks great. I love it! Looks very sharp! Nice job. I had a raw Bombadil, which I really liked. The finish deteriorated over about 8 years. I was tempted to have the clear coat redone, but when the frame needed repairing I went ahead and had it painted by D I'm supposed to get it back this week. jim m walnut creek, ca -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. I've always liked the raw steel finished, glad you found one that worked for you!
