This thread got a little side tracked and I would like to comment again
that the graphic fenders look amazing with the grilver roadino frame.

[RBW] Re: Fendered Roadini

2018-01-15 Thread ascpgh
Plus one on the cork method! It's natural, structurally closed cell, the
surface can be sealed with a coat of shellac and is lighter than
manufactured spacer materials. Yeah, it's not necessary if your frame's
stay bridge can be reached with a couple stacked leather washers for
optimal fender line.

Personalization possible via choice of product originally plugged by your
fender spacer and its imprint, as the Deacon points out.

Re: [RBW] Re: Fendered Roadini

2018-01-14 Thread LBleriot
No spacer, cork or otherwise, needed on my build. I just used one of the
leather washers at the chainstay bridge. The cork spacer is a nice included
item with the Mud Butlers. The other nice thing about these fenders is that the
seat stay clamp is plasti-wrapped making for a silent install. Every set of
metal fenders should include this thoughtful part. Well done Handsome.

Or, if you prefer something in silver, head to your local Ace hardware and buy
an aluminum spacer or two. Works great.

front of the rear fender. I prefer the whisky method. Grin.

I would advise to call the website number and talk to Cody Davis, whom is
both the guy whom both answers the phone and builds the fenders. He is
super nice and an amazing craftmen who will set you up right. I have
woody's on two of my bikes and love them. But also be advised that you may
need to use the "wine cork method" to get the back fender to fit right. PM
me if you need details.

That is a really close match for the the grilver and an overall sharp
