[RBW] Re: Found rings and guard; now: Seeking 127-128 mm square taper bb assembly.

2016-11-14 Thread Garth

Patrick, I have a barely used UN-72 127mm that I could sell to you.
Prolly 200 miles if that and clean. What's nice about these is the non ds
cup has no lip on it like the UN-54/55 series, thus the chainline is
adjustable up to a couple mm's. The current Tange models are also
lip-less/adjustable , there are 3 models currently, LN-3912, LN-3922 (both
are all steel), and the LN-7922(AL cups).

However, I see the 3912 is only $10.90 shipped from Bikesmith's on Ebay
though, and considering it costs us almost $6 for a Priority mail box these
days I'd say get that. I think this is the BB Riv includes on the Clem.
The LN-3922 is also sold by them for $29.90. I have ordered from them
before so yes they are reliable.

Alack and alas: I just thought to check Compass, and their longest is ---
126 mm. Since 127 is cutting it so fine, I just can't take the chance. Damn!

That's apparently what the Apex's bb is, but as I said, if I could find a
ST GG, I'd be happier.
