[RBW] Re: Heron tubing - Ted Durant?
That looks like OS tubing to me. Also I would think if you were sellling the ride pf 531 there would be a decal affixed. It looks like and in-between build based on the info on the website. Maybe using up old stock tubing with new drop-outs? Heron website is still up and it says Reynolds 531 (?!) and Kaisei fork. (I don't know of any frames coming from the the current owner and my inquiries have gone unanswered) On Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 6:10:13 AM UTC-7, Marty Gierke, Stewartstown PA wrote: > > Ted - can you weigh in on this sticker? [RBW] Re: Heron tubing - Ted Durant?
That is a "Post Ted & Grant" era, Tullio's (Todd K) era frame. Yes, the vertical drops are another clue, as is the color. Otherwise looks like the standard Road geometry and round blade RC24 fork crown. Keep in mind that Todd Kuzma also owned Heron in the second iteration I have no idea which era this frame is from. my second generation Heron tourer (Warfarer) has that tubing decal as well as vertical dropouts...its light for a tourer...much lighter than my Atlantis America's #1 Brain Supplement Now Being Called 'Genius' Pill The Brain Insider http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3131/5bf9c673cf2e346735472st04duc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Nice looking frame Marty, hope it works out for you! I would bid on it, but it's a tad too small.
