Have you looked at Ironweed panniers?

Check out the gallery for how the smaller Alyce model looks/works on a
front low-rider rack:

Those panniers look fantastic (to me), and inexpensive (to me). Thanks
for the link! I especially like the wedge-shaped "Elinor" style.

Philip -- I haven't seen these panniers in person, but friends of
mine have bought them and liked them. The owner/entrepreneur is a good
guy -- runs our local bike lending library here in Iowa City. Another
alternative for MUSA panniers! -- Forrest

[RBW] Re: ISO cheap, small panniers

2011-03-29 Thread Daniel
There's a pair of Elinor prototypes on eBay right (#130502765078).
I just won a pair of black Ironweed Alyce panniers and they cam
yesterday. I haven't mounted them up yet, but I'm using one today as
a man bag since I had a lot of stuff to schlep to work today and it's
very nice. I don't have a lot of experience with bike bags, but I can
say the workpersonship is excellent. No complaints here.
