Have you looked at Ironweed panniers? Site: http://www.ironweedbp.com/index.html Check out the gallery for how the smaller Alyce model looks/works on a front low-rider rack: http://www.ironweedbp.com/gallery.html -- Forrest (Iowa City, home of Ironweed Panniers) On Mar 20, 3:14 am, PATRICK MOORE wrote: > I want a simple, open design suitable for a front lowrider rack (Tubus Duo, > in case it matters). Those panniers look fantastic (to me), and inexpensive (to me). Thanks for the link! I especially like the wedge-shaped "Elinor" style. Philip -- I haven't seen these panniers in person, but friends of mine have bought them and liked them. The owner/entrepreneur is a good guy -- runs our local bike lending library here in Iowa City. Another alternative for MUSA panniers! -- Forrest On Mar 21, 11:18 am, Philip Williamson wrote: > Those panniers look fantastic (to me), and inexpensive (to me). Thanks > for the link! [RBW] Re: ISO cheap, small panniers
There's a pair of Elinor prototypes on eBay right (#130502765078). I just won a pair of black Ironweed Alyce panniers and they cam yesterday. I haven't mounted them up yet, but I'm using one today as a man bag since I had a lot of stuff to schlep to work today and it's very nice. I don't have a lot of experience with bike bags, but I can say the workpersonship is excellent. No complaints here.
