[RBW] Re: Large orange HHH build, shake down ride
Patrick, Thanks! Those are the VO 700x63 fluted aluminum fenders. Did a slight massage of the fenders following Anton Tutter's tutorial http://tinyurl.com/n8wy8cb to get the fender line where I wanted it -- but they were pretty close out of the box. Yes, excellent setup. I'll do mine next weekend when I'm back home. Hurrah for the orange Hubbuhubbuhs!!! Re: [RBW] Re: Large orange HHH build, shake down ride
Wonderful! What tires and fenders are you using? I'm going to try to install (and rinko the front fender) the Honjo smooth 650b x 62mm fender over the Switchback Hill tires, even though Compass recommends going with a wider one that they don't have or know about yet. They recommend going 40% wider but also stated to ensure there are at least 25mm of clearance between the fender and the tire. On the fork, there is currently 25mm of clearance (plenty more in the rear) so I need to go with a really thin daruma, or else, use an L-bracket. How much clearance do you have? Nice! My experience with tandems is, they handle crosswinds better than most singles. I suspect these tandems will prove to be very stable. I thought the orange was a great color and adds to the fun factor. Ray -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
