[RBW] Re: New Journal Entry up at Analog Cycles: Disconnecting to get connected: A Journey in Satchidananda

2018-05-07 Thread James / Analog Cycles

Steve, thanks! More pics coming. We don't make syrup (the shop is an old
sugar house my great uncle built, but it's all bikes now) but a local
friend (Gary of the North) makes great syrup from the trees on our land,
and I could send ya some for the going rate. We do plan to help him next
spring, with the tapping and evaporation process. Mainly that means
sitting around in a steamy sugar house, feeding wood chunks to the
evaporator, drinking cheap beer.

James, The shop and county look amazing. I'm not surprised, considering
how nice the Frederick shop was. I'm sorry that I didn't as much time

wondering if you will brew Analog Maple Syrup. Anyway, best wishes for the

Absolutely. We take that literally, with a touch of Robert Frost: take the
fork less traveled.

2018-05-06 Thread James / Analog Cycles
Mihn, We're trucking along for sure. It's been raining a bunch so mainly
we're just buckling down and working. Just finished grouting the slate
hearth for the wood stove (a stove I traded a shimano bottom bracket and a
tune up for, love bartering) and Candice is clearing an old over grown
community garden space on the Analog property to put in a anarachist guild
garden. We spent yesterday digging gravel driveway drainage ditches and
laying down a thick red slate driveway.

Holler next time your up this way! Within our little village there are 49
miles of dirt roads!

Hey, Joe:

The rest you leave to your fertile imagination. I think that's the
Satchidananda part.

But, of course, I could be mistaken.

It sure looks like a beautiful space. I wish it was not so far from
Georgia, we sure would love to visit. Maybe a train ride is due.
