[RBW] Re: Nitto R-10

2019-02-18 Thread Matt
Ty! And thanks for the tips on SQR, although hopefully this is the last
installation.

I've tried to find anything at all on what those posts are for to no avail,
but I'm sure you're right, they're anchors.

All the best,

Ever thought of using nitto's r-14 is always a good rack to leave on
forever for a saddle bag.

[RBW] Re: Nitto R-10 vs Marks Rack for Saddlebag

2012-09-26 Thread ted
I have used a Marks rack on my 52 Bombadil with cr-720s. Worked great.
No trouble with the brakes.
As Liesl points out it very flexible and versatile, up down, for aft,
tilt, whatever.

[RBW] Re: Nitto R-10 vs Marks Rack for Saddlebag

2012-09-26 Thread Liesl
I've ridden with a marks rack since 2006 with, most often, a Carradice
Barley. Most excellent combination. Goes back and forth between my saluki
and my protobleriot. I have small (50 cm) bikes so clearance for a saddle
bag is always in the equation. the marks rack is 1) easy to move from bike
to bike, 2) stable as all get-out, 3) keeps bags from rubbing on fenders,
4) keeps saddle bags clear of cables, 5) is totally adjustable so you can
dial in fore-and-aft and height, and 6) is so small you can just forget
about it if you're not carrying a saddlebag.

I have no experience, though, with the R-10.

good luck, liesl
