[RBW] Re: Rivendell SF Pop-Up Store

2013-06-02 Thread Joe Bernard
The coupon is good for 15 bucks off if you take it to Walnut Creek, or
there's a code on it for free shipping over $50. I won't post it here
'cause I assume Riv wants us to visit the pop-up to get it.

The raffle was pretty awesome. They gave away a small saddlebag, an Alba, a
Brooks cover ("You own a Brooks, right?" Everyone laughed), and the Grand
Prize was $500 store credit. I didn't win anything, but thoroughly enjoyed
watching the ones who did. A good time was had by all.

My 9 year old daughter Sofia was the person drawing the raffle tickets and
I swear she doesn't have the knowledge or inclination to cheat such an
honor. Nevertheless, she drew her own name for the $500 gift certificate.
I'm sure we'll figure out a way to spend it! Wink wink. Yay!

I've been bugging my friend for the past week to go down there to try out
the 71cm. He's 6'5" and has yet to find a truly comfortable mtb, hybrid,
or road bike. He just called me gushing about the test ride saying things
like "surreal ride" "like riding a lazy boy recliner" . Think we'll have
to go out to walnut creek me to give them a first try, him for a better
test ride.

Me trying out a rivendell who'd a thunk it, lol.
