Just returned from this ride  had a great time.  60% Rivendell bikes,
only 1 of which was a 3 speed (congrats James for sticking with the
spirit of the event!) so we made David  Andy choose 1 cog  only
shift the front.  Mileage was low  the fun factor was high.  If the
new mystery Riv is intended for IGH, I predict we'll see yet another
sub-set of Riv riders.  This hub shifting thing is fun, and this comes
from an Atlantis guy who loves his w-i-d-e range gearing.

Yea, Andy on the Schwinn.  I'm very tempted to bring my Raleigh 3-
speed, but its such a boat anchor.

The 3-speed is my love affair - my only type of bike for about 10
years.  Many people build up Rivs as a modern interpretation of the
venerable transportation and touring bicycle.  The prototypical 3-
speed in Noel's vision, I think, is the Raleigh Clubman.  Isn't that
how most people build up and ride a Riv?  Run what you brung!

I certainly hope to be there!

invitation:  All bikes and riders are encouraged to show and go for a
ride.  One to 30 gears allowed (sorry 31 speeders).  Be there or be
L7.   :-)
