Funny, I had the word Rivendell in the title, since I bought a lot of the
parts from Rivendell and it's a notably Riv-ish build. Within an hour ebay
took it down saying I'm misleading buyers by having Rivendell in the title
of a bike that is not a Rivendell. I admit that's true, and I know some
searchers will be a little annoyed, but dude, as somebody who searches
rivendell almost daily on ebay, I'm shocked that they took my listing
down, when it's a really common practice to list non-Rivs with Rivendell in
 the title. I'm a victim! :)

down, when it's a really common practice to list non-Rivs with Rivendell in
the title. I'm a victim! :)

Up for sale is a modern classic road bike. I acquired this 1984 Trek 770
from the original owner off craigslist. I old off the original campy bits
through the usual channels to finance a much more contemporary Rivish
build. That bike helped convince me that my previous road bike was too
small for me and it convinced me that I wanted to run 700x28 tires (or
wider). Now that I've acquired a bike that will take wide tires and
fenders, I can let go of this classic bike. I'd love to sell it locally,
since it's so expensive to ship a bike. I'm asking $800. Shipping would
be extra, but I'll gladly deliver it in the Bay Area.

 It's a 58cm Trek 770. Reynolds 531 standard diameter butted tubing.
