Re: [RBW] Re: WTB: 58cm Quickbeam/SimpleOne (or others?)
Interesting observation on the head tube, John. I wouldn't have caught that. I actually just purchased one from a list member, and should be up and running in the near future. Ride pics and a new (old) bike day post to follow, naturally... Thanks! On Tue, Jul 3, 2018 at 6:30 AM John G. wrote: > Headtube looks pretty short for a 58cm Quickbeam. Headtube looks pretty short for a 58cm Quickbeam. It appears to be measured center to top. I'm not sure what actual size that equates to. There's a quickbeam, 58 cm, on Ebay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rivendell-Quickbeam-58cm-Green-Single-Speed-Road-Bike-with-Dura-Ace-Nitto/27253803?hash=item3fa3ee76ab:g:QxcAAOSwSkxbOZNF -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Very cool. Not familiar with that model so thanks for bringing it to my attention. Thanks, Bill. I'm planning to stick with canti/v brakes (probably the latter)...but much appreciated! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. [RBW] Re: WTB: 58cm Quickbeam/SimpleOne (or others?)
I have an "other". It's a 58cm custom Gunnar singlespeed, that the original owner spec'd to copy the geometry of a Hillborne. Let me know if you want to talk about it. Here is a flickr album with lots of photos of my original build. https://www.flickr.com/photos/45758191@N04/albums/72157642798847383 I offered the current complete recently for the price of a Frank Jones, $1575. I could sell frameset, frameset plus wheels, complete, lots of options. Let me know if you want to discuss it.
