Hey Kyle,

I had the same happen to my Hetres, I called Jan at Compass and he sold me 
a new tire at his cost. Not the most favorable solution but a solution.

I'd give it a try. Put a bunch of glue on both sides of the tire. Move tire
to rear as you mentioned and monitor. If it looks good, go for it.

I'd boot it and sew that all together and see how it rides. I've seen that 
done with touring tires.

I had zero luck with a boot on my Compass Stampede Pass Extralight. Those are 
thin sidewalls. It ended my PBP. You may have better luck but if you boot it 
and want to get back home I'd carry an extra tire for the first couple of rides 
to be sure it works.
