Just make sure the wedge is down past the threaded portion of the steerer. On Rivendell frames the threaded portion is long, so just to be on the safe side you might want to hold the stem next to the HT and visually see how high the stem can be, and mark it yourself with a sharpie or some tape. I've always meant it be minimum insertion into steerer tube, on threaded headsets that's just slightly below the top headset nut.
