Very nice job Brian! So glad you're putting it to such good use. You'll be
amazed at the handling once you out a heavier front load.

So funny that you say it feels slightly large. I'm 5'11" and it didn't feel
large to me. The 60 Bombadil I had first did though.

It seems like you're going to enjoy it a lot. I'm so happy for you!

[RBW] Rene's Hungapillar: Version 3.0

2016-03-06 Thread Brian Campbell
I was the proud purchaser of Rene's Hunq frame with the low trail fork.
Already having a 61cm Hilsen, the Hunq was acquired with off-road riding in
mind. I finally got it finished last night and was able to spend about 3
hrs on it this morning. Lots of fun, the low trail fork does a really good
job with handling at low speeds. It is on the large side for me, I fall "in
between" on the Riv sizing scale, I am 6'1" 185 with a longer torso, so
this seems to be working. There were a couple of dismounts that reminded me
that the top tube was there but since I have 2 kids and won't be needing
anymore, it should work.

Here is a link to the pics to prove it happened. I need to tighten down the
headset and adjust the front brake to stop a minor squeal. The chainrings
are place holders until I determine the final configuration. Thanks again
Rene!
