Hi all,
I am finally getting around to working on Patrick Moores' 03 Curt custom. I
like the wide look of the ubiquitous 26" silver MTB rims from the late 80's
and early 90's. The wheels in question came on an MB-3 and are 130mm
spaced, which is what I need for the Riv. The intended use is light touring
and commuting on 26x1.35 Kojaks. The wheels are 36 spoke and seem pretty
solid. The rims do have reinforcement along where the braking surface and
rim bed meet. I will retension and true just for confidence sake. any real
concern for durability?
Thanks,
Tom Palmer
