Michael,
 Thanks for the story - I hope this comes across as encouraging;

 1. Atlantises are generally easy to sell, they're a good bike with a
good reputation.
 2. Atlantises for a good cause even more so.

I don't think you'll struggle to sell this one.

Thank you for posting the link to the article and sharing her Virginia's
story. Your loss is our loss. I hope you get a buyer for her Atlantis that
appreciates what it represents.

Dear Michael,

Very moving, thank you for telling the story. I am sorry for your loss, and
the world's loss as obviously your daughter would have contributed a lot in
many ways. Best of luck selling the Atlantis.

Re: [RBW] Re: For Sale Atlantis

2011-08-02 Thread Michael Lee
I don't mind sharing all I can. This forum was suggested to me by Mr. John
Bennett from Rivendell Bicycle Works but I was a little shy and unsure with
my first post. I am located 100 miles from a tree on the plains of eastern
New Mexico. The only good thing about our location is if your dog runs away,
you can watch it for a week. Clovis, New Mexico, not exactly the biking hub
of the planet. I could have the bike packed semi-professionally packed or as
I told one member, my wife and I wouldn't mind visiting Pullman, Wa again
and delivering it to that area. We are also close to Santa Fe, Albuquerque,
Taos, Lubbock, Amarillo and of course Roswell.

Here is a newspaper link that tells some of story.
http://www.dailyevergreen.com/story/33569

As I said originally my only goal is for my daughter to continue to touch
other lives and further her desire to help others. Grants from her
fellowship will help fund Doctoral graduate students who share her goals of
sustainable agriculture and improving world wide food security. First and
foremost she was our daughter; she knitted, sewed and quilted with her
mother, made me cookies, cobbler and called for automobile advice. In her
spare time she was a scientist bent on changing the world. Washington State
University gave a 24 year old's life a purpose. My purpose is to further her
goals. This is not about money for me.

I realize you only asked for me to share my location and hope I didn't share
too much, but it was therapeutic.
