[TANKS] Tiger1 3D Plans in the Works

2009-11-18 Thread Steve Tyng
As part of a marine architecture program (I've always liked drawing
boats ;-) I've acquired the Rhino 3D CAD program. Besides trying to
draw pretty pictures of boats, I thought I'd also practice on some
more angular items. In the files section (3DTyngTiger.jpg) is my
start at redoing the plans I did for Rob Snyders Tiger1 (T047) in
Rhino. I figure I'll continue to build out the Tiger and eventually
have a COMPLETE plans set for the most popular design in the hobby.

Re: [TANKS] scale

2009-11-18 Thread Gregory Pwneror
I would suggest just dividing the size by 6, that works for metric, for
Imperial you'd have to change the feet to inches.

Google has a built-in calculator:

So, if the life size is "24.7 feet" and the scale is "1:6", then you
would enter "24.7/6=" to get an answer of "24.7 / 6 = 4.1167"

My RS80D when up in sparks and bright lights, don't feel too bad;)
Still not sure what happened there though since it was hooked up

I like that, "up the swanny". At least that's what I think he said ;)
It's looking good though.
I have found that the springs on my tanks are REALLY stiff, but when all the
weight is applied
they work well. Good luck with the new speed controller. Buy some red
electrical tape and
wrap your positive lead in it if the wire is a color other than red. ;)

Thought that was a French tank at first but it's a Steyr SK 105
Kurassier. It's only half French with the turret off of the AMX-13
light tank.
