RE: [TANKS] surpluscenter supplement catalog?

2010-08-08 Thread Paul Hilton
I never use their paper catalog. Their website looks the same to me.

Subject: [TANKS] surpluscenter supplement catalog?

i got a smaller catalog from the surpluscenter and was wondering is this
just a seasonal supplement catalog or is this their (new size) regular
catalog?

I just tried calling them to check, but said i'd have to call back during
regular weekday work hours.

i'm just curious if this is the new regular catalog, because if this is the
new regular catalog, they dropped a bit of stuff and can be a problem for
some of use as they dropped just about all of the sprockets

[TANKS] slaying the sabertooth !!

2010-08-08 Thread neroc
I`ve had my first tank fire today !! It only lasted a few seconds but
filled my garage with black smoke . this week I`ve managed to destroy
a couple more sabertooths and 3 switches ,I wired everything the wrong
way.

So T051 is now controlled by a MAG esc and has gone from being the
fastest tank in the UK to the slowest as I`ve had to change the drill
gears down to low.

I hope to have my new turret rotation finished by next weekends
battle .I`ll need it as speedy mobility is no longer the leopards
advantage .

Watts = Amps * Volts, so they're all related; knowing any two of these specs
implies the third.

For instance, my motors are nominally rated for 350W @ 24V. This means that
they will nominally be drawing somewhere around 14.5 Amps.

Also, be careful when treating an amp-hour rating of a battery strictly as a
capacity, as this is somewhat dependent on the discharge rate. (the actual,
real-world amount of run time you will get from a battery will be less than the
amp-hour rating suggests when you discharge them at a higher rate)

both as you need to know if your going to use 12 volt or 24 volt (for
battery arrangement) and watts (more so) as to how many amps you'll be pulling
from the batteries

[TANKS] Re: Which Buy is Better?

2010-08-08 Thread Cobra9431
Amp Hours are just a measure of capacity. e.g. A 30Ah battery will run
at 30
amps for one hour, or 30 hours at one amp. The thing that you want to
look
at for current is how much current your motors pull.

would that be the volts or the watts that the motors pull?
