That is correct... You still need to use some type of speed control...
However it does provide channel mixing allowing full skid turns. Very
cheap way of getting R/C control Think of it as a version of a 2.4ghz
dual stick 6 channel radio system that is very light and compact...

I realy dont care about controliing 12 things with 1 remote, just one
tank with one remote. Just as long as I can control the entire tank
with the remote.
Has there been any reliability issues with the PS2 controler, and what
kind of reciever does it need?

[TANKS] Future UK battle dates 2011

2011-06-25 Thread neroc
Im looking for battlers with a list of weekend dates when they are
available for a fight.
I can find a battle site somewhere between Manchester and Stoke and
offer overnight accommodation if required.
I will have 3No tanks ready very soon and I know there are at least 3
more UK tanks .so with a little push this could be the biggest and
best UK battle to date.
If anybody is interested please leave your available dates and battle
ready assets below:-

Thank you , Neil R

So, Sherman has been worked on by the DR. and has had the stupidly
complicated radio programing software figured out. The subtrims are
now where they aught to be, but a very nast bit of news surfaced.
Channels 5 and 6 on Hobby King radios cannot be assigned thier own
functions! They instead affect the ther 4 channels in some way meant
for RC helicoptors. This means My radio is useless and I need a new
means of controling my tank!
Time to look into the PS2 contoler method i suppose. Is this route
cheaper than a proper Spektrum DX6?
