[TANKS] M1 Motor left & right?

2020-04-14 Thread Caleb Smith
Hey guys,
Been thinking about getting my Locust back in operation. Brushless drive is on
hold till a suitable ESC solution is found. In the meantime I'm gonna install
some 250w M1 style geared motors. They only come with the gearhead on one side.
I thought I might have read somewhere on here that the gearhead could be
switched to the other side to make it an opposite but I can't find any info
atm. Is this possible? Anybody know?
Thanks!!

[TANKS] Re: where is everyone?

2020-04-14 Thread Caleb Smith
I'm still around. Been more active in the boat combat since battles here kinda
died off. My Locust still doesn't have an ideal drive system but with no
battling I haven't been to motivated to work on it. Would love to see some more
activity. This hobby is too dang fun to let die.

[TANKS] Re: 1/6 Stuart to M8 Howitzer?

2020-04-14 Thread Doug Conn
As far as the hobby is concerned, it's perfectly fine if the tank barrel or
projectile is out of scale. You can install a standard paintball marker and
be fine. We all use them. In fact, a scale cannon would have to be 100mm+.
That's uncommon for most tanks, especially older ones.

If you want to make the scale correct for your own preference, that's a
different story.

Do you have a link to the Stuart chassis you mentioned?
