Invincibility was short-lived. In the second battle, Tracy took control
of the Comet Bunker (which was guarded by soldiers) and all opposing
tanks understood the need to keep her firepower suppressed by shooting
the guards repeatedly. Tracy and April were treated as equals on the
battlefield, including the typical taunting that comes with such a position.

I have just read in the Glass Ceiling battle I report :-

"it was decided that the artillery operators would simply walk back to
home base themselves when more ammo was needed. Furthermore, we
allowed the artillery to be invincible (no guard soldiers) to "give
the rookies a chance".

Claire was the only girl at the event and never asked nor were offered
to be in command of an "invincible" Field Artillery piece .

We could put this down to the high level of gentlmanship that you MAG
boys possess.
This is to be commended.

I have been waiting to send the "War in the woods II" Battle report in
to MAG approval for public posting .
I wanted to give all the attendees a chance to give the world their
own personal account of the day.
Having received no such account to date i`ll now assume it will have
to be another neroc production (as Jason put it).

And Frank , you were the first to "publicly" properly document your
achievement :-)

did you ever hear about the lesser known British moon landings of
1968 ?

To be fair , Claire said she much preferred to "drive a SV and collect
things" ( I consider that tidying up) than be in charge of something
that shoots.

Typical. One of the colonies makes valid claims to an historical first,
then the Brits claim that they "did it first", then they produce
never-before-seen "evidence" to their claim :-)

Can't wait to read about how Claire single-handedly defeated Mr. Funky
on the battlefield. In the meantime, we're gathering funds to send our
gals "over there" to battle in the next UK battle. That should settle

Nope, Claire was in charge of the Valentine - although it was
operating as a fixed artillery piece because the wheels were away
being machined . . .
