it's dumb to lick it off your finger, but if you get electrolyte in a
cut, it burns like the devil).

[TANKS] Re: Morris CDSW supply vehicle - new pictures.

2011-11-08 Thread Chairman Miaow
It's not painted that colour at all. In fact it's not painted. That is
merely a coat of filler/primer.

OK important test results- plastic washing-up bowls are NOT paintball-
proof.

[TANKS] Re: Morris CDSW supply vehicle - new pictures.

2011-11-06 Thread Phil
Is it painted that colour so that it can hide upside-down in bowls of
custard?? ;-}

Looks v nice, Chairman. Looking forward to denting it some more. These
are honourable wounds of battle!

I'm about to try the "point-blank shot" test on my replacement for the
Locust's turret. I have a plastic washing-up bowl which is exactly the
right size and shape (for a given value of "exactly..).

[TANKS] Re: Morris CDSW supply vehicle - new pictures.

2011-11-06 Thread Chairman Miaow
The body hooks onto the rear cross-member of the chassis at the back
and is then velcro'd at four points (two per side) in the middle and
at the front. The bonnet (hood) and rear deck will probably be hld
down by magnetic catches. If these allow an accurate paintball to blow
the bonnet or decking off then it just allows the gunner in question
to punch the air and yell woo-hoo!
This feature will make Neil happy.

According to the rules, vehicles shouldn't get any closer to each
other than 5'. However, in the heat of battle anything can happen so I
thought I'd better test for the worst case scenario. Since it
survived, I'm reasonably happy with it.

As fot the state of my wheelie-bin, all I can do is quote the Iron
Duke himself; Publish and be damned!
